Smooth out jaggies

Photoshop is amazing. Just when I think something can't be done, I find some resource on the web that proves me wrong.

Sometimes jaggies are introduced along edges that are supposed to be smooth. These jaggies are typically caused by resizing, filling areas, compression, etc.

It turns out there's a pretty simple method for smoothing out these edges.
